Greater Toronto Music School Claimed

I signed my kids up for music lessons with GTMS and this music school continues to exceed my expectations. My kids have learned so much and their instructor Luke, has helped them develop a keen interest and passion for music. They get excited for their lessons and always look forward to the GTMS recitals, where they have the opportunity to showcase their skills. Highly recommend!

Thanks to the team at Greater Toronto Music School for helping an old guy like me get back into playing music. I played as a kid and always thought about getting back into it. After seeing their ads many times on the Facebook, I finally decided to do it. It’s been a wonderful experience through and through and is helping to keep my mind sharp.

I enrolled my 4 year old niece in piano lessons with Greater Toronto Music School and had a fantastic experience. Her instructor was very patient and made learning very fun for her. She does a lot of activities but playing piano seems to be what she really loves and I give all the credit to Greater Toronto Music School for making her lessons fun and engaging. They are also worked with me to find times that fit our busy schedules! I highly recommend GTMS for anyone, young or old looking to learn how to play an instrument. Keep up the great job!

Our grandchildren have been taking lessons with GTMS for several years and I can’t say enough good things about them. From customer service, to lessons they have been a pleasure to work with. They are extremely communicative and have gone above and beyond to help when things have gotten a little complicated for us. Jaime teaches drums to our grandson and besides being a great teacher, Jaime has always taken the time to make him comfortable and confident in his playing and ability. Our granddaughter learns vocals and piano/guitar from Luke who is an amazing teacher and has developed a truly wonderful connection with her. Across the board this has been a great experience and I highly recommend Greater Toronto Music School to anyone looking for music lessons.

I am satisfied with the service. They were quite accommodating with my requirements. My son is not the easiest to work with but the teacher knew how to develop his interest in piano. They now have a student for life!

I am Highly satisfied with Greater Toronto Music School. My son wanted to learn drums and personalized lessons from Jaime were beyond amazing. He is patient and started the training with covering all basics first. Highly recommend.

I couldn’t be happier with my experience at Greater Toronto Music School. My teacher, Fernando, is incredibly talented and supportive and offers personalized feedback that really helps me progress. My playing has improved so much since I started taking lessons, and he always makes me feel welcomed & encouraged. GTMS is the perfect place to learn and fall in love with music. I was looking for a place for music lessons and was referred to GTMS by my sister in law. So far, our experience has been outstanding. The teacher that was assigned to us, Jaime, has been fantastic. He is able to connect to and relate with my child and makes learning music fun and engaging. We’ve seen fantastic progress and our child looks forward to drum lessons each week. I’ve recently enrolled in the band program as well and am really looking forward to seeing my son rock out on stage with his new band! Special thanks to Judie who has been accommodating and offers great support for registration, scheduling, etc.

What a fantastic place to learn music. Jaime & Judie from the admin team have been so helpful and accommodating for my schedule. My son’s teacher, Fernando, has been so patient and has a wonderful way of teaching music to children. The cherry on top is the recitals that they offer. The events are so well put together and it was amazing seeing my son perform alongside many talented young musicians. I really appreciated the certificate of achievement that they gave to my son when he finished performing and the photos & videos that were sent afterwards were super high quality. If I could give 10 stars, I would. 100% recommend GTMS when searching for music lessons in Toronto or online.

I signed my daughter up for violin class with Greater Toronto Music School. Their policy states I would need to sign up at a minimum of two classes as stated by the person I spoke with, Judie. I have paid for two classes in advance. The first class was in person where Judie had asked me to switch the time that we were supposed to meet with the instructor last minute. I willingly agreed as I didn’t have plans during the time specified. The class time was not changed on their online portal where I initially thought was the main source of communication with the instructor, again, as per Judie. On the day of the violin class session, I received a call stating we were late, but the online class time stated otherwise. We met with the instruction who was understanding and had us for our scheduled lesson. Clara was a lovely instructor who was very patient and was knowledgeable. The next violin class was set online which was for the week after. A week passed and the first online session was booked. This time the class was missed as I have travelled to another province for work and my daughter had miscalculated the time of her first online session. Upon missing the class time, I had spoken to my daughter’s instructor, Clara, who was more than accepting to reschedule the class for the week after. Although, Judie and Jaime were not accepting to reschedule my daughter’s violin class and instead stated that the payment be forfeited due to a missed class and states that they have to run a business and is part of their policy. In my opinion, Greater Toronto Music School does not show compassion and understanding to busy working parents who opt into the online portion of music classes for their kids. I do believe that any other business would be more considerate as to missing the first online session but Greater Toronto Music School is not one of them. For this matter, I would not recommend Greater Toronto Music School to any working parents who may have to divert into rescheduling for any valid reason as compassion and understanding work and life schedule is not something I found this company advocates for their clients and WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL TO ANYONE.
